Responsibilities for Clinical Assistant

• May perform appointment scheduling for patients updating patient demographic and insurance information.
• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned project(s).
• Process medical records requests.
• Manage electronic and manual faxes received with proper follow-up and distribution as necessary.
• Manage and assist with patient phone calls following the standard operating procedures.
• Assists with identifying trends and areas for improvement and coordinates these identified areas with the RN.
• Review QA sheets for accuracy.
• Print the consultation forms weekly.
• Ensure the after-visit summaries are returned immediately after the appointments.
• Reviews share point system information to ensure documents are current and update as needed.
• The ability to contact referral sources and physician offices assists to promote continuity of patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Clinical Assistant

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Ability to work in a cooperative and accepting manner with others.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and can work well with others in a diverse and active environment.
• Two-year experience as a medial receptionist.
• This position requires that the employee is willing and able to meet physical requirements as necessary.
• One year experience using data look-up and data entry functions on a PC based computer.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
